Text to 3D vs image to 3D: which should you use?

Image to 3D is usually the better choice when you already have a concept, photo or product shot: the shape follows your reference. Text to 3D suits ideation when you only have a description. Several tools (e.g. Alpha3D, Spline) run text-to-3D as two steps – generate a reference image first, then mesh it – so you can fix the image before spending 3D credits. Multi-view input (front/side/back) helps when one image hides the back of an object.
